An emotional inventory
You know you are discontented. Relationships aren’t going in the direction you thought. Life seems overwhelming and stressful.
Work is not what you imagined. Being a parent is harder than anyone ever told you. You don’t have time for yourself.
What happens when you ignore your needs, while considering your other responsibilities more important? You become more and more unhappy. You can even develop chronic illness.
Don’t allow your life to become too much.
Therapy can help!
Individual therapy is a process by which a person can move events that cause emotional pain into a different part of the brain, thus relocating to a place where it no longer causes pain.
When we talk about our difficulties, problems, and issues, we begin to see them in a different way and gain more clarity.
The first step in individual therapy is the knowledge that you cannot continue to process your problems on your own.
You need guidance and direction.
Once you start individual psychotherapy, you can begin to sort out your problems with the perspective of a professional.
When you can see the source of your pain, then we can begin to tackle it together. Insight helps you make movement.
This takes time, because therapy is a process. You must invest in it for it to give back to you. What you put into working on yourself will give back to you tenfold. You must be willing to do the work, because the power to change your life resides in you.
I am your partner in the journey.
Please know that I will not let you fall, and I will gently remind you to keep moving forward. That is the role of a therapist.
I won’t tell you what to do, but I will provide a perspective. When warranted, I will give you validation.
It will be my role in this collaboration to point out your faulty perceptions and to help redirect your view of things.
Each therapeutic relationship is different, and each relationship is valuable. Together, we will tailor your therapeutic process in a manner that suits your needs and is beneficial to you.
